Business Analyst

The Opportunity

TECKpert’s client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a Business Analyst to support the Florida PALM project, a large-scale modernization effort replacing the state’s financial management systems. The analyst will play a critical role in analyzing, documenting, and testing business processes and system requirements impacted by this transition.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Research and document agency business processes and system dependencies.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.
• Document business and technical requirements as user stories in Azure DevOps.
• Manage backlog and work items in Azure DevOps.
• Develop test plans, test cases, and coordinate QA efforts.
• Conduct oversight reviews to ensure compliance with department standards.
• Support analysis of budget management and financial systems

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $105,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of business process and systems analysis experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in process mapping/modeling tools such as Visio.
• Experience writing SQL queries and performing data analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps (Azure DevOps).
• Technical experience with IBM Mainframe, Distributed, and Cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Florida Administrative Code Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5.
• Experience with data migration, change management, and QA/testing tools.
• Agile project experience, particularly with Azure DevOps.
• CBAP or CSM certification preferred.
