The Opportunity
TECKpert is seeking an IT Systems Analyst to support our client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL, in providing senior-level development, systems analysis, and application support related to large-scale financial systems and cross-functional enterprise applications. This role is 100% onsite.
The Systems Analyst will analyze business processes, support system redesign, develop and maintain application components, and act as a subject matter expert for applications supporting complex financial business processes. The selected individual will participate in a long-term modernization effort and collaborate with development teams, architects, and stakeholders to ensure scalable and robust solutions.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as a senior developer and SME for applications supporting complex financial business processes on large cross-functional projects.• Document business processes, analyze existing system functions, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Provide technical guidance to QA teams through the full SDLC and across development, staging, and production environments.
• Troubleshoot issues using development tools, analytical methods, and collaboration with technical staff.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, process standardization, and solution architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with distributed technical teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of project components.
• Research and apply modern development methodologies, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Develop scalable, high-quality software solutions and contribute to system testing and validation.
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders, team members, and leadership.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $115,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications you need
A successful IT Systems Analyst has the following experience:
• Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Lead Developer or Development Manager.• 5+ years of experience with development technologies including enterprise relational databases (Oracle preferred).
• Experience developing and maintaining systems supporting complex financial business processes.
• Strong SQL proficiency and understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio / .NET (highly desired).
• Experience with ORMs such as Entity Framework or NHibernate (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in high-volume, deadline-driven environments and handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to conduct systems analysis and convert requirements into scalable business solutions.
• Ability to work onsite between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including occasional Saturdays or on-call rotation.
