Microsoft Power Platform Developer

We are looking for a Power Platform Developer to support our government client in Washington D.C.

The project

TECKpert is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to support our client, a government agency in Washington, DC.  The Power Platform Developer will design, develop, and maintain applications, workflows, and integrations using Microsoft Power Platform tools including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. The role requires strong expertise in low-code/no-code development, integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure services, and ensuring compliance with federal IT and security requirements. The developer will work closely with business users, analysts, and other technical staff to deliver solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse).
• Customize and extend Dynamics 365 applications as needed.
• Create data models, dashboards, and reports that provide actionable insights.
• Integrate Power Platform applications with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and external data sources.
• Develop custom connectors and APIs for data integration.
• Maintain solution documentation, including workflows, system configurations, and technical specifications.
• Implement role-based security, data loss prevention policies, and compliance controls in line with federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, refine user stories, and ensure solutions align with business goals.
• Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and performance tuning for existing solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a contract position with pay commensurate with experience up to $105,000 per year. 

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing with Microsoft Power Platform.
• Hands-on experience building canvas and model-driven apps in Power Apps.
• Experience with Power Automate (flows, RPA), Dataverse, and SharePoint integrations.
• Proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization best practices).
• Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and security administration.
• Experience with custom connectors, APIs, and integration with external data sources.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including source control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
