Senior .NET Developer

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to support our client based in Miami, FL.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the development and enhancement of critical software systems for a government agency. The developer will play a central role in designing, coding, and integrating secure, scalable applications that support finance, tax, and operational programs. This is a hands-on role that requires strong full-stack development capabilities, experience in data integration, and working knowledge of legacy and modern platforms.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level software applications.
• Lead the transition of legacy systems and data into modern platforms.
• Implement secure, efficient, and scalable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Integrate with internal and external systems using APIs and middleware.
• Support application testing, debugging, deployment, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when needed.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $140,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development roles.
• Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, and JavaScript-based frameworks.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• Experience in developing APIs and integrating with external systems.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of secure development practices and software lifecycle management.
   

• Experience migrating legacy applications (e.g., Access, COBOL) to modern architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
• Experience with public sector data systems related to finance and tax, such as TaxSys, DBPR, or similar platforms.
• Prior work with government agencies or municipalities, especially involving data integration or reporting.
• Understanding of case management or workflow tools (e.g., GoldKey, Laserfiche).
