We are looking for an Finance Operations Systems Lead to support our client based in Tallahassee, Florida.

US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.

This is an onsite position. Candidates must be located in or near Tallahassee, Florida.

The project

TECKpert seeks to hire an Finance Operations Systems Lead to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL. In this role you will lead the operations of financial sections (Disbursements, Revenue, Financial Reporting) to facilitate the transition from the State of Florida’s FLAIR system to the new Florida PALM enterprise financial management system. This role requires strong expertise in financial systems, data analysis, and process optimization to support a smooth migration and ongoing operations. The IT Finance Manager will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, design system integrations, and ensure seamless financial reporting.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of financial sections (Disbursements, Revenue, Financial Reporting).
Lead efforts to integrate Florida PALM into current financial processes, assessing compatibility.
Conduct in-depth evaluations of existing financial systems and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical and functional requirements.
Develop and implement strategies for data migration, ensuring data integrity.
Create and maintain custom financial reports and dashboards for improved decision-making.
Design integrations between Florida PALM and other financial systems.
Provide training for staff on using the new system effectively.
Monitor system performance, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Offer ongoing support, troubleshooting system issues as they arise.

Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a full-time, position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $180,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Candidates are expected to work onsite at our client’s location.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial management systems (particularly FLAIR).
Proven expertise in financial data analysis, system integration, and financial reporting.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with Florida's financial regulations and enterprise systems.
Proficiency in data visualization and advanced financial modeling.
Strong skills in managing large-scale financial migrations or ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
