This is a hybrid position requiring occasional onsite visits in Downtown and South Miami. Candidates must be located in South Florida.

The Opportunity

TECKpert is supporting our client, a government agency in South Florida, in the implementation of a large-scale, enterprise vendor application. We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to work within a complex IT environment supporting multiple internal departments and external vendors throughout the full system implementation lifecycle.

This role requires strong hands-on experience in business process analysis, requirements engineering, system integration, data analysis, and testing in both Agile and Waterfall environments. The ideal candidate is highly technical, comfortable working with SQL and data migrations, and capable of translating business needs into clear technical deliverables.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze and document current-state and future-state business processes
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, technical specifications, acceptance criteria, and system documentation
  • Collaborate with architects and developers on system and integration design
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts (unit, integration, UAT)
  • Support data migration efforts including source-to-target mapping, validation, and reconciliation
  • Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL to support reporting, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with change management activities including training materials and end-user documentation
  • Provide clear written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Support vendor package implementation from design through deployment

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $95,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical business analysis or systems analysis
  • Experience supporting large, complex IT implementations
  • Strong experience with business process modeling and requirements engineering
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (complex queries, joins, aggregations)
  • Experience with data migration, ETL concepts, and system integrations
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments
  • Strong documentation, testing, and stakeholder communication skills
