The Opportunity
TECKpert is seeking a Senior. NET Developer to support our client, a government agency in Miami, Florida. This role will contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and development of enterprise applications that support countywide permitting and regulatory processes.
The developer will work on migrating legacy applications to modern platforms while ensuring data integrity, system integration, and performance optimization. This role requires strong experience with Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET, SQL, and enterprise application integration.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using C# and the .NET framework
- Assist with migration of legacy systems including MS Access, Mainframe, and older permitting systems
- Design and implement scalable web applications and APIs
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures
- Implement MVC architecture and secure application development practices
- Support ETL processes and data integration using SSIS
- Design and maintain RESTful or SOAP web services for system integration
- Implement workflow automation and customer-facing application features
- Participate in modernization initiatives involving enterprise platforms
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders across departments
- Support system integration and automated workflow processes
- Ensure application performance, security, and maintainability
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $145,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.
Qualifications you need
A successful candidate has the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in software development using the .NET framework (.NET Core / NET 6)?
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience developing in C#?
- Strong experience with C# and .NET application development
- Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Experience with SQL development including PL/SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization
- Experience developing applications using MVC architecture
- Experience developing RESTful or SOAP APIs
- Experience with SSIS and SSRS for ETL and reporting
- Experience integrating enterprise systems and modernizing legacy platforms
- Experience working with Windows applications and web services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government systems
- Experience migrating legacy systems to modern platforms
- Experience supporting permitting, regulatory, or workflow automation systems
