The Opportunity

We are seeking an IT Project Manager to support our client an agency based in Washington DC. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the management of IT projects, strategic planning, project tracking, and the development of documentation and presentations. The role involves overseeing the design, management, delivery, enhancement, and modernization of our client's network infrastructure.
 

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in managing and tracking IT strategic plans, tasks, and projects.
  • Maintain and revise the IT infrastructure project roadmap.
  • Provide project management support for various IT initiatives.
  • Conduct budget and cost analysis, and provide comparisons.
  • Develop and review IT policies and procedures.
  • Participate in technical reviews of IT tasks and deliverables.
  • Support the development of program plans, cost analysis, and contract management documentation.
  • Ensure clear and concise delivery of project statuses to stakeholders.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $155,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful IT Project Manager has the following experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management or related roles.
  • Proficient in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of IT, cybersecurity, and technology integration.
  • Experience in developing policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ability to prepare program plans, cost-analysis, and schedule development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience working with an agency of the Federal Government
Clearance Required: No security clearance is required, but candidates must pass a background check conducted by Law Enforcement.
