The Opportunity
TECKpert seeks an ERP Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a cloud-based ERP solution for our client, a government agency in Florida. The ERP Project Manager will coordinate all project phases, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead development and maintenance of a detailed project plan with milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate regular status meetings and provide concise updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, including tracking expenditures and forecasting.
- Coordinate with functional leads to gather requirements, validate business processes, and drive change management.
- Oversee data conversion activities, ensuring accurate mapping and validation of test loads.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive testing strategy, including user acceptance testing and issue resolution.
- Coordinate end-user training, create training materials, and support change management communications.
- Identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate when necessary.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a part-time, contract position with possible extensions with pay commensurate with experience up to $55 per hour.
Qualifications you need
A successful candidate possesses or provides the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years managing ERP implementations, preferably in the public sector.
- Proven experience with data conversion, testing, and change management in large-scale software projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Familiarity with government procurement processes, budget management, and public-sector workflows.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with financial, permitting and licensing, asset management, and departmental applications for local municipalities.
- PMP® certification or equivalent project management certification preffered.
