This is a remote position requiring occasional onsite visits in Downtown and South Miami.

The Opportunity

TECKpert is supporting our client, a government agency in South Florida, in the search for a PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Consultant with strong expertise in PeopleSoft Payroll modules. This role will support payroll application enhancements, testing, integrations, and operational support as part of a broader ERP environment. The consultant will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users to ensure high-quality system functionality and data integrity.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide techno-functional support for PeopleSoft Payroll modules, including configuration, testing, and enhancements
  • Analyze payroll-related issues, perform incident resolution, and support system upgrades and enhancements
  • Execute and support unit testing, system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in Agile environments
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and defect documentation
  • Perform integration testing and data validation across interfacing systems
  • Analyze payroll data and reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
  • Produce and maintain documentation including functional requirements, process flows, system diagrams, defect logs, and status reports
  • Collaborate with functional users, developers, and project leadership to deliver high-quality payroll system solutions
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure system changes meet business and compliance requirements

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $135,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting PeopleSoft applications
  • Strong hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Payroll modules
  • Demonstrated experience in testing methodologies, including functional, integration, and UAT
  • Experience supporting incident resolution, enhancements, and upgrades
  • Strong SQL and PeopleSoft Query skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Experience working in Agile development environments
  • Prior experience supporting PeopleSoft Payroll within the public sector
  • Experience with ERP implementation or modernization initiatives
