Who we are
Founded in 2009 and headquartered in beautiful Miami, FL, TECKpert is a tech consulting and staff augmentation firm. At TECKpert, we offer a contingent workforce built for any size digital transformation project. Experts in design, development, IT, analytics and marketing, provide innovative digital solutions to achieve success in our new economy. Our leaders identify the technical talent best suited to bolster our client’s capabilities, across all industries, including, healthcare, government, finance, legal, real estate, and startups.
The Opportunity
TECKpert's client, a manufacturing and construction business in Miami, FL, is seeking a Process Systems Mapper to create and maintain a clear, visual representation of how work flows across the organization as part of a comprehensive modernization initiative.
This is a structural translation role. The Process Systems Mapper translates real operational activity into structured process maps that reflect roles, steps, handoffs, and decision points. The role extends from process mapping and validation through identification of gaps and improvement opportunities to SOP creation. The output becomes the company's working view of process reality.
This is not traditional documentation, passive note-taking, or process design. This is real-time structural translation. The candidate must be able to convert messy conversations into clear systems, work comfortably with ambiguity and incomplete information, and distinguish between observing a process and redesigning it.
This is a full-time, remote engagement with an initial term of 90 days, with potential extension to 6 months and possible conversion to permanent hire. This role reports to the Chief of Staff in the CEO Office and is embedded within the PMO.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Map current-state processes based on how work is actually performed
- Create and maintain clear visual process flows including roles, steps, handoffs, and decision points
- Update process maps in real time during or immediately after working sessions
- Ensure visual consistency and clarity across all mapped processes
- Identify and surface gaps, ambiguity, breakdown points, and workarounds
- Translate process discussions into structured, usable representations
- Validate mapped processes with team members to ensure accuracy
- Maintain alignment between process maps and active operations
- Organize process maps into a coherent structure across lanes and process groups
- Develop SOPs after processes are clearly defined and validated
- Support PMO and Chief of Staff by making process flows visible and actionable
This role does NOT design or own process decisions, determine process improvements or policy changes, set priorities or direct execution, configure systems or software, or act as a consultant redefining how the business should operate. All process decisions remain with leadership.
Compensation and Term
This opportunity is for a part-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $100,000 per year.
Qualifications you need
A successful candidate has the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience mapping operational or business processes in a professional setting
- Strong proficiency with visual mapping tools such as Miro, Lucidchart, Visio, or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex conversations into clear, structured process maps in real time or near-real time
- Experience creating as-is process documentation including swim lane diagrams, decision trees, and workflow visualizations
- Experience developing SOPs based on validated process maps
- Strong attention to detail and visual clarity
- Ability to work across multiple teams and functions simultaneously
- Comfort working in evolving and partially defined environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to ask clarifying questions and surface inconsistencies appropriately
- Ability to think structurally, not just procedurally
- Experience working in process-heavy environments (construction, manufacturing, or multi-division operations preferred but not required)
